So here are my thoughts on the movie
"Moon".
There really isn't much I can say without spoiling. So let me sum it up:
* Worth every penny I paid to go see it. I would pay full price to see it again.
* It's like a mix of "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" While I don't know much about the science the film is based around, their understanding seemed pretty solid and I didn't have any WTF moments with regards to the science. There were plenty of WTF moments of the good kind. See my reference to "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" If you've read that book, you'll know precisely what I mean.
* Sam Rockwell deserves an award. His role couldn't have been easy and he plays it beautifully.
* Kevin Spacey as the voice of GERTY. Awesome.
* I was reminded of a lot of the hard science fiction I grew up with on this film; Silent Running, 2001, and Outland just to name three.
Overall, it is a very good film. Hard science fiction in the local cinema again? Color me happy.
